1 week later

One week into life and loving every minute of eating, sleeping, and pooping. Leif and I are completely enamored with our new little girl and I am so very lucky to get to spend every minute of every day with her. She's amazing to watch grow!

Gretchen's first bath

We took our first trip to the doctor's today. Baby girl is gaining weight like a champ. After coming home at 7lb 7oz, we are up to 7lb 15oz today! Oh, and the said she's perfect!

There's light...

This is me last Thursday, 39 weeks pregnant! I went to the doctor's today and I am 3cm dilated and 50% effaced. She has a beautiful heart rate of 135 bpm and we are excitedly awaiting her arrival. Will it be this week or next?
This picture is from Brooke's Baby shower on April 4th. There were three different types of cake available and Brooke took a piece of each one. Another bonus...she finally looks pregnant and it only took her 31 weeks to do so.

This was a busy week...

On Monday I turned 28! Brooke and Orion came over for some delicious pizza and wings and then late we ate cake! It was a nice relaxing birthday.
Me and Leif after cake, looks like I may have had one piece too many, hahaha! His hair is longer than mine, poor baby's going to be so confused.
Seeing double? Violet's sister, Sadie, came over for play date on Thursday, the weather was beautiful! They ran around the yard so much they both had to get some rest in the grass.

...so very, very busy!

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I can't imagine that there is any room left in this stomach of mine. The baby doesn't seem to mind the cramped quarters... heart rate is 136 bpm. I got to see her on Wednesday and they estimate she's about 7lbs. She's got the cutest head and belly!
TGIF! I let the dog out this morning and this lil Robin was just tweeting away, makes me think just maybe spring is here!
